The ChinaTech Sourcing Process

1. Establishing the Brief:

From the very beginning of your enquiry, an engineer will work with you to establish an accurate brief. Based on industry knowledge, our standard enquiry process will ensure a thorough understanding of all aspects of your project including drawings, standards, packing requirements, volumes and project timing.

2. Production Feasibility and Design For Manufacture:

ChinaTech Sourcing’s quotation process assesses the design for manufacturing feasibility. This identifies cost reduction opportunities and quality improvements early in the process.

3. A Competitive Quote:

With our Chinese partner, we represent a network of manufacturers in some of the most strategic low-cost regions in China. We select quotations from several factories in order to ensure competitive prices and a robust manufacturing proposal.

4. Open Access to Chinese Suppliers:

In order to help you evaluate our proposals, we are happy to put customers directly in contact with our Chinese manufacturers. We can organise and host visits to China, offer technical interpreters and arrange any necessary travel and accommodation.

5. Project Delivery:

Following supplier nomination, our Chinese partner will appoint a Project Manager to be responsible for your project. He will visit the supplier regularly, monitor progress and ensure all the necessary controls and specifications are satisfied. Depending on customer requirements, this can include anything from basic validation of “first off” production samples, to full PPAP / PSW sign off.

6. Backup & Peace of Mind:

ChinaTech Sourcing continues to be active after production has begun. We remain the UK point of contact for ongoing scheduling, product design changes and in the unlikely event of quality concerns.
